1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using CrateSense, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Accounts
- You must provide an email you control. Social login (Google/Meta/LinkedIn) is optional.
- You are responsible for safeguarding tokens and device access.
3. Usage
- Permitted use: personal or professional music cataloging, discovery, and device sync.
- Prohibited: abuse, unauthorized access, reverse engineering of non-public components, systematic extraction or redistribution of the shared music catalog, or infringement of others' rights.
4. Content & Data
- You retain rights to your audio files and metadata. You grant CrateSense the necessary rights to process them for the service features.
- When you sync your library, derived metadata (artist, title, duration, audio fingerprint, identifiers) may be aggregated into a shared music identity database that improves catalog accuracy and recommendations for all users. No audio files or file paths are transmitted — only mathematical derivatives and factual metadata.
- You may disable catalog contribution in your account settings at any time. You may request deletion of your observation records at any time (see Privacy Notice).
- We do not claim ownership of your library. Factual metadata about musical works (artist names, titles, identifiers) is not owned by any individual contributor.
5. Privacy

6. Availability & Changes
The service is provided "as is" without uptime guarantees. Features may change; we will try to give reasonable notice for breaking changes.
7. Fees
During beta, the service is free. Future paid plans will be optional and described separately.
8. Third Parties
Social login is subject to the respective provider's terms. Downloads and device sync rely on your network and hardware.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or security risks.
10. Disclaimers & Liability
The service is provided without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount you paid (if any) in the 3 months before a claim.
